Flower Bowl Exacta Looks Well Sunday
Chad Brown’s GI Flower Bowl S. exacta of Stephanie’s Kitten (Kitten’s Joy) and Danza Cavallo (Fr) (Sunday Break {Jpn]) were in fine form Sunday morning.
“I thought she ran a flawless race yesterday. She got a good trip and she delivered,” Brown said of the winner, Stephanie’s Kitten, who will make her next start in the GI Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf. “I thought she ran a flawless race yesterday. She got a good trip and she delivered.”
Brown said Danza Cavallo will most likely not join her stablemate in the Breeders’ Cup starting gate.
“My first inclination is no,” Brown said of the Breeders’ Cup. “I’ll probably just keep her local and target a race like the [GIII] Long Island [H. Nov. 7], which she almost won last year, and then give her a much deserved break. I’ll see how she comes out of the race physically and how she trains and speak to the ownership group.”
Brown is unsure as to where Takeover Target (Harlan’s Holiday), the easy winner of Saturday’s GIII Hill Prince S., will make his next start.
“He ran terrific,” said Brown. “I don’t have any immediate plans for him but he’s not under consideration for any Breeders’ Cup races. He’s a really solid horse and has won a couple big races this year. I’m not sure when or where his next race will be.”
